What do we provide?
An experienced Registered Maine guide with a minimum of first aid and CPR certifications. Kayak, spray skirt, paddle, dry bag, and a free souvenir phone case for you to keep!
What wildlife will I see?
Seals are an everyday sighting while we also often see small whales, lots of different sea birds, bald eagles, osprey, loons, and much more. Rare sightings include ocean sunfish, puffins, minke whale, and even humpback whales!
What if I want a specific experience?
We are the only private tour outfitter on the island to reduce our impact on the areas we use allowing us to give your group a custom tour to fit your individual needs.
What type of kayak will I be using?
We have found the best boat with stability and speed for a beginner or experienced paddler is the Necky Amaruk tandem sea kayak with a rudder that is controlled by foot pedals in the rear cockpit to steer it easier.
Do I need to have kayaking experience? What if I’m not athletic?
Most of our guests have never been in a kayak before and we cater to your experience level. We can focus on your specific needs since our tours are limited to one couple, family, or group at a time.
Is this a family-friendly activity?
Our tours are usually the highlight of the vacation and most memorable part of your trip to Maine.
What if the weather is bad?
The local weather forecast is often not what we actually end up seeing, especially the further out you look. We use marine forcasts and real time radar to predict the wind, tides, and perception for the day. We will try to give as much notice as possible when canceling a tour and give a full refund after notifying your group.
What makes us different?
Because we meet at the beach with the boats already unloaded and waiting to be launched, most of our time is spent on the water enjoying the cost of Maine with just your loved ones and a guide looking out for wildlife. We use high end gear to make your experience more enjoyable from our stable kayaks to the Werner paddles and our comfortable guide quality PFD’s. Every detail has been thought out with your safety, comfort, and happiness in mind to make our sea kayak tour your favorite part of the Acadia National Park visit.
